Drawing: Rocky Beach in Pencil

In Camus Mor, Drawing, Sketching on 24 October 2010 at 11:58

When the sun came out yesterday, I headed to the slipway at Camus Mor with some pastels and my pencil box for a bit of sketching in the sunshine. The tide was out, so I could sit in the lee of the sea wall without having sea spray ‘help’ my drawing.

I like the abstract, ambiguous nature of this drawing. Is or isn’t it a representation of something? Is it just a pattern?
